OK, so I'm a day late on the monster post that I promised for yesterday. But in my defense...it took me almost the ENTIRE day yesterday to go through my files in preparation for this post!
To kick off the new year, I decided what a better time to showcase some of MY favorite images from 2008. This was one of the hardest decisions ever, ever, ever! My original idea was to do a TOP 10 of 2008 showcase. HA! That was a joke! I narrowed my choices down to my top 50, and then had my family help me narrow down further until we came up with 30 amazing images. Each is unique in their own way, and each I love for different reasons. Some I like because of their uniqueness, some because of the subject's expression, and some just because they make me smile whenever I look at them. Overall I didn't look for the best smiles or even eye contact....but just something that is there that makes me in love with the image.
So, to make this more fun, I decided to have a contest. I want you to vote to pick the top image for 2008 that represents Leah Hoskins Photography. The winner will receive a mounted 11x14 wall portrait of their image, printed on metallic paper(no substitutions).
Here are the rules for playing:
1. Leave me a comment below telling me the number of the image that you want to vote on.
2. One vote per person only. I will not count votes left under anonymous users. You must create a Google Account with a username to vote. Please be honest and don't vote more than once!
3. If your photo is in the running, contact everyone you know to vote for your image!
4. Voting will end on January 12, 2009 at 11:59pm. Winner will be announced on January 14, 2009
Here they are! Each photo is below it's number. Enjoy!
***EDITED****
I have noticed that there are several anonymous votes! I cannot count these votes as stated in the rules above. If you or someone you know voted for your image this way, please have them re-vote with a Google user name.
Also- DO NOT click on the photo and leave me a comment under the photo in Flickr. I cannot count these votes, either. Some images that have votes this way are #6, #11, #13, #18,#21, #25.
